Embellished Sash Belt

>>  25 September 2012

I read my previous post just now. It's LAME! OMG. How can I let my post be so bored. Even this flu can't let it be like that! Okay whatever. I will make sure this post is worth reading.

If you read my blog closely (of course to all my dear friends), you will know I will sew the beads on my reception outfit on my own. I once reveal what is the material for my reception outfit. Top is lace and bottom is chiffon. The lace by the way is cotton lace which I bought it at RM95/meter (before less I think).  And the design?

It is peplum design.

Peplum design or in Malaysia we called it as Saloma is so in nowadays. So I grabbed the chance to have my wedding dress in peplum design too. I don't know whether the tailor can do it nicely. I'm still nervous. I will collect my reception and my solemnization outfit this Sunday. Oh how much I pray it will turn out nice.

I know it is a simple design. But I just don't want to waste my money on something that I won't wear afterwards. Seriously tell me how many brides wore their wedding outfits afterwards? With a very long bottom, unless you go for dinner at fancy event of course.

Okay back to the topic. Since my wedding outfit is peplum design, I will use sash belt to be worn at my waist. Why sash belt? Because its easier to sew onto sash belt compared to sew it on the dress. Hahaha. Talk about being lazy! Some ppl think wedding dress should be all glamour and has a lot of bling2. I like it too like that but only with some dress. Others will be too old fashioned!

Not agree? It depends on individual. I just want to make sure I can wear the dress afterwards and not thinking so much about being overdress.

By the way what is sash belt? Sash belt is a belt made from fabric (like satin or organza or can even be lace) and decorated with beads, diamonds, brooches and lace. How it turned out depends on creativity. You can do whatever you want with it.

Here some examples.

I love this! Not so many beadworks need to be done!

uh ah so nice!

this is fancy but I like the color combination a lot! it has ivory, champagne and nude pink color.

this is on my top list
Such an eye candy right? I have flu now but looking at all this make me happy.

Which one I'm gonna apply onto my dress? It will depends on my mood. If lazy, more fabric flowers, otherwise, it will be more beads!

Okey wish me luck ppl.

By the way, the other day I wanted to cut off extra thread while I was sewing my veil but I accidentally cut tiny part of the veil. So there's tiny hole at my veil. But I managed to cover it by sewing another lace onto the veil part with that tiny hole. And it turned out nicer! Nicer than before.

Alhamdulillah. Allah has his own way to show what's good for us.

Okay bye. Assalamualaikum.

I love the third one you have pictured and I think it would go beautifully with my wedding dress. How much are you charging?
