Melaka Wonderland Theme Park Experience

>>  21 January 2016

We went to Melaka Wonderland Theme Park in Ayer Keroh, Melaka during the Christmas holiday last year. The theme park is located just beside the Bird Park. In fact, we can just walk to the Bird Park from the car park of the theme park. Basically, no need to remove your car, at least this was what I heard from the theme park speaker.

We planned to go here because it was long weekend and we didn't want to just spend the day lazying around the house in Melaka. Let's utilize our time wisely, shall we? I bought my muslimah swimming suit just the day before we went back to Melaka (hubby is from Melaka) at Haleema Butik in Klang. While Aisyah swimming suit we bought it at A'famosa Factory Outlet in Alor Gajah for RM70 after sale. We both love it! I especially love it because its pink. Hihi.

That morning, we had our breakfast at the nearby Subaidah around 845 am. Aisyah was so cranky that morning because she had to wake up early. Kept feeling unsatisfied with a lot of things. Causing mama and ayah to be bad mood too. Grr.

After breakfast, we went straight to theme park. It's weekend and school holiday, need to hurry. Once arrived, OMG parking almost full at the parking area in front of the entrance. What! People was so fast. We quickly lined up to get our ticket. While queuing, a guy behind me said I can get cheaper ticket buy one free one ticket from someone at the back. They sold it so cheap because school kids suppose to come but they cancelled their event and now had to sell the ticket they bought. While we were contemplating, suddenly that guy said, all the buy one free one ticket had been sold out. Fine.

Aisyah entered free because her height was below 90 cm. While we had to pay RM34.11 per person. Normal price is RM37.90 but we can use our Aeon card and get 10% off.

So off we went inside the theme park.

Oops, before I forgot, don't bother to bring your food and drink inside the theme park because they check your bag quite thoroughly. Another thing, there's changing room just before you reach the beach swim area. I saw so many people changed clothes at the toilet near the kids play area. Not comfortable guys, there's proper changing room down there.

Our focus that day was just on Aisyah because we wanted her to feel happy playing with water. Alhamdulillah she enjoyed it. We just went to kids area, the beach area and the canal area. We didn't rush our time there, leisurely playing with Aisyah.

Basically we spent 2 hours in Melaka Wonderland Theme Park. Overall what I can say this theme park is so average. Nothing special about it. They should improve the decoration of the theme park. Example, at the canal area, it is just the canal. No special effect like sound effect or animal figurine at the side. Will we repeat going here? Maybe, if with another baby. Haha.

Ooops, midway during walking to the beach area, my slipper's strap broke. So my husband let me borrow his slipper. So sweet of him. I hadn't use that slipper for quite some time. I guessed it got worn out.

I bought fries and mineral water at the cafe just beside the kids area. Couldn't remember the price exactly but I think the price for the fries was RM4.50. The portion was quite a lot. I guess it was quite reasonable. Aisyah ate quite a lot. Maybe she was hungry due to all the playing with water.

Okay one picture.

Till then, Assalamualaikum.

>>  14 April 2012

Went to Teluk Intan today for my long time friend's wedding, Mrs Afiqah. The three hours journey was worth it when we saw the beautiful bride and the handsome groom with the awesome decoration. Anyway, I asked her and everything was in a package! The handbouqet was also in it! It was fresh flower by the way. Super love! Later I will ask the package in full. wall decoration for dais

>>  30 March 2012

I forget that I have to get a new roadtax in this May. So because of that, some of my budget for the engagement in this June will be affected because it takes like RM1000++ for the roadtax. Still I want to have the engagement like I want but seriously need to cut some budget. Need to be more wise on my spending and only buy necessary items. Well if you refer to my previous post, you should know that I decided to have DIY dais.

Apart from need to save some money, I also cannot nail anything on my mom's wall. So come out with this beautiful wall decoration which I steal from ppl's blog (haha):

the wall decoration is made from paper tissue and paper medallion(for the paper fan)

she cut paper and make the paper shape like icecream cone and glue it to white carboard

she use paper lantern and paper tissue (no need to open the paper lantern, straight away paste it onto wall)

I seriously love the wall decoration on the 1st picture. I love the color especially. Need to start doing it now and ask permission from my mom to stick those papers on her wall. Hehe. By the way refer to the watermark in case if you want to know how they do it.

Below is the link for tutorial on how to do the decoration:
Paper fan
Tissue Flower

Wish me luck.

humaira'

>>  12 March 2012

I met my niece Humaira' yesterday. Heehee. My sister is a teacher in Sabah so she will spend her school holiday here. So we made a date to meet each other at Sogo since my sister want to shop baby stroller at the Baby Fair. While waiting for them from hotel, I shopped a little bit. Seriously only a little bit considering we were at Jalan TAR. Other ppl will definitely be influenced with very low price offered in Jalan TAR but not me. I was so focus on finding things that I really need. Just try seducing me with your offer I wont be influenced. Haha.

But then when we met Humaira' she was moody because her mother disturbed her while sleeping forced her to wake up and took a bath. See she didn't want to smile at all. Usually she really loves smiling at ppl. When she smiles her eyes will become small. Miss that Humaira'. It's okay lets meet again on June. Erghh still long way to go before June.

Now missing the other niece and nephew. Insyallah will meet them soon.

Till then. Assalamualaikum.

Current Channel

>>  07 March 2012

I've been spending my time after work watching korean series. This particular korean series Captain Please Take Care of us have made me force myself to sleep. Don't read the statement wrong. I am really into this drama so much that I need to force myself to sleep because if not I will sleep late. Having low metabolism have cause my body to have plenty of sleep. Even I do exercise every morning (my house was at level 4 so I do count going down as exercise), it does not contribute to any increase of metabolism of my body. I'm still weak. Hey, notice how I stray from my point of writing? I want to write about the series but got caught up in the complaining instead. Haha.

This drama is about two pilots, stewardess and the airline. It basically want to focus more on the importance of safety, service and skills when on the plane. The main point is brought up when the main actress lost his parent during on a flight where the main actor is on duty. The main actress is Ko Hye Sun from Boys Over Flower while the main actor is Ji Jin Hee. The story grows when due to guilty, Ji Jin Hee helps Ko Hye Sun to be a better pilot. From there, love sparks between them but due to the complex relationship and something else, they need to go through a lot of obstacle first.

I watch this drama because of the main actor! He is so cool. I started to like him when he was acting in a popular korean drama Jang Dang Geum (forgive me if I spell this wrong or type it wrong). It was a story about the cook in the palace. I was very excited to know that he's gonna acting in this pilot drama. Did you know his age is 43, seriously 43 but he really doesn't look like one. He even able to match with his young co-star. See below picture

Handsome and strong! He even defeated Kim Jong Kook in Running Man.Hihi. I guess I  need to continue watching.

Bye!

wedding kawan2

>>  29 February 2012

Hihi. I've deleted my previous post on Ms. Every Single Thing Negative. Have to take it down. Hihihi. Last weekend and last last weekend I went for friend's wedding. One at Kelantan and one at FRIM here in Selangor.

The Kelantan one was my dearest friend's a.k.a our kakak sulung's wedding. The one that we anticipated for months. I even made a new baju kurung for the wedding. Since I am still under probation for my new job, I couldn't take leave. So I traveled from KL to Kelantan with my 3 friends on Friday night. Others traveled in the morning. We spent a night at Awana Kijal before continued travelling to Kelantan the next morning. And the room was free. Hihi. So awesome lah the room. My friend's fiancee had training there so he slept at his friend's room and gave his room to us. The room got two super single beds so it fit for the four of us. Hehee.

Eh I should be talking about the wedding haha. My dear friend, Ty's wedding theme was purple. All of her family wore purple. We also wore purple. Haha. Everyone looked so harmonious. Love it so much. I seriously love the dais. Look so elegant and sweet.

So nicelah our baju kurung's tone of color. The plain at the front, the dark color tone at the side and the pattern one at the back. Seriously a beautiful coincidence like Omay said. Btw, Omay's mom said Ty's husband look like Zed Zaidi the actor. Haha. I think its true. ;p

The other wedding was my coursemate at UTP but I think the main reason we went there because she- Kisha is my boyfriend's workmate. So they are pretty close. He will feel bad if we didn't go. But I truly love her wedding. See the dais at the back look so lovely and the way they put the dine table nicely in front of the dais so when ppl took picture the background will look beautiful. And the food had a lot of varieties. The nasi minyak, the rojak, the mee rebus, and etc. etc. For the door gift, we got chocolate. Beryl's chocolate. Hee. Awesome!

Her wedding dress was very lovely. Forget to ask in detail where she got it. Hihi. Btw see my bf's hair. He just cut it. He cut it because he felt unease when all eyes were staring at him when he entered a meeting room full with ppl with big names. Seriously why he thought ppl were staring at his hair. Don't like the hair. It makes he looks younger than me. Haha.

Till then. Assalamualaikum.

tips on how to find rent room

>>  08 February 2012

I was looking for a rent room in Selangor nearby KL last Monday. It might seem easy to find rent room but no it isn't. You might think we can just go to mudah or ibilik website, search for advertisements that have vacant room at area that you want and then go for viewing. I was thinking like that but it didn't turn out well that day. So I propose a detail planning before you go for viewing. You can save your petrol and also your time.

It is very important to do not believe that what is said in the ad is the same as the actual. When you call to get an appointment for viewing (note: call is a must! you can learn a lot from ppl's voice), you need to ask for this criteria:

1) Is the vacant room one people per room?
If you will rent house with strangers, it is safer to have the entire room for yourself (no sharing) because you do not know what type of people you are living with. First impression can be cheated. In case if something happen, you can always stay safe in your own room. You can also avoid the probability of people stealing your stuff.

I made a mistake the other day. I believed the ad 100% and didn't bother to ask about this question and ended up wasting my time for viewing. The first room was sharing with one roommate and the space is very small. Then I went for the second room in another house and it was much worse, there were one double decker bed and one regular bed in the room. Turned out my space was only at top of the double decker bed. No space for my stuff. Only a small cupboard (or locker provided, not like I want it). I'm the type of person who have a lot stuff and a lot of clothes. Definitely a no-no for me to have such a small sharing room.

2) How much the deposit? and the monthly rent? Is it inclusive of utilities?
You have to confirm how much are the deposit and rent. Mostly nowadays deposit is 2 months rent which I dislike because when you want to start a new life, paying a lot of money on the deposit can be a pain in a butt. If the monthly rent inclusive of the utilities then it is better. It is fixed and your monthly payment won't change. You can plan your budget wisely also.

3) How many ppl in the house currently?
You need to ask this question because if there are a lot of ppl (I've been to one house and there are 8 ppl, pheww), then you won't have your own privacy and the monthly utilities bill will definitely fluctuate. If there is only 1 person currently, scared later if the person go balik kampung in weekend, you will be left alone. However as for me if the house is small, I don't mind at all if there is only 1 person in the house. I can always go to my friends' house in Setiawangsa and Shah Alam. Hehe.

4) Is it near to my workplace?
You have to ask this because if it is near, then it is a plus point. You can save time and petrol (if lucky no need to pay for toll). But don't depend on this so much because they will definitely say it is near. You have to do your own homework first. Understand which route you need to take to work and whether it will be jam in the morning and evening.

5) How about the parking space?
Having plenty of parking spaces are very nice. You can always park in the place near to your house. You can save a lot of time and your car is more secured.

I've been to one house, condominium exactly. Very nice condo with badminton court, swimming pool and security but parking space was designated to one parking space per one house. I know its normal but when I asked the lady of the house, she said she's the one who use it. She didn't mention at all that we could rotate it to make it fair. The one who doesn't have parking space, need to park outside with no security and need to move the car before 8am. Pfffttt.

6) Is it near to shopping mall and shops?
Some ppl might need to ask for public transportation. Whether it is easy to get public transportation such as bus, taxi or LRT. As for me since I own a car, so I can let this question slide off. However since I'm a working woman, I need to ask about shopping mall and shops. If you just come back from work and so lazy to cook, it is very convenient to have shops or restaurants nearby.

7) Is the house equipped with washing machine, TV and cooking stove?
This are the essential items that you need in a house. You need to ask so that you can make the house a priority in your house to go viewing list. Some houses have them and some don't. The houses that I went the other day have all this. Just that one of the house don't have fridge. I think its still okay if the house don't have fridge because I'm not the type of ppl who cooks and I still have mini bar fridge. Hehe.

Above are the tips to find rent room. Later I'm gonna write a post on how to choose the right rent room by which it is after the house viewing.

Oh I forget to include, when you want to make a short list on which vacant room ad owner you want to call please check whether the house is for women only or men only. I've seen a lot of ad saying available for men and women even the owner is a Muslim. There is also an ad states the room is for woman but the ad owner is looking for someone who is open. Well you should know what that means. As for me, I only shortlisted rooms that the ad said ''looking for female muslim'' (not female malay). I feel much safer that way.

That's all I'm gonna write now. Till then. Assalamualaikum.

Rejuvenating myself yaw

>>  27 January 2012

I'm in KL right now. Went for an interview yesterday. The most interesting thing about interview is you will go to a place that you never went before. This time around my interview was at an area like a square where there are a lot of two storey buildings with a lot of companies. Mostly small companies that involve in the professional field.

Below this square is an underground parking area. I seriously think that is so interesting! This is the first time I have seen this kind of place (other than shopping complex, I know). But this is different from shopping complex. If you park here, you can go to the parking space that stated with the building block number you want to go, take the stairs and then the elevator and walla! You have arrived at the office door. So convenient.

While waiting for the interview, I went to a nearby mall. I was kinda excited because it is a new mall but pfttt after I stepped my foot inside turned out since it is still new, a lot of shops haven't open yet and there aren't a lot of choice for places to eat so we end up eating at mcD as our lunch. I couldn't eat proper lunch wuwu. I have Malay stomach so usually I need rice hoho.

After the interview, we went to Kenanga Wholesale City and again we were dissapointed. A lot of shops haven't opened yet. Probably because ppl still in Chinese New Year mode and probably because this shopping complex haven't been officiated yet. Anyhow, there was nothing to do or to see so we end up went to Time Square to watch Journey 2 The Mysterious Island in 3D. I watched 3D movie before and I didn't like it. And I still don't like it. I hate wearing the specs and the picture look darker and I have the potential to get dizzy. Haha too many complaints. I just hope in the future I won't have to watch 3D.

Oh forget to give review about this movie. In my opinion, I enjoyed it because I always love watching this type of movie. You know like fiction, fairy tales and history because the pictures are colorful and most of the time we can learn a lot of moral values. On top of that, the Rock acting in it so definitely there's a funny element portrayed in this film. Go and watch it if you haven't watch yet.

Oh yeah I don't have any pictures. Too tired to think to take pictures. Haha. Sooo lazy. Well at least I update my blog. I need to stop here. I'm using my friend's netbook and it was so tiring to type in this small netbook. Hate it! Thank Allah I'm using a laptop. Hihi.

Btw, I don't know why I use that title. Too lazy to think for more appropriate tittle. Just think that when I'm doing something that I don't always do, I'm rejuvenating myself. Ok? Hee.

Till then. Assalamualaikum.

sometimes being emotional is good

>>  06 January 2012

I felt so emotional recently and it led to ''I just don't care about anything'' attitude. By that I mean I just didn't do that very deep thinking and did whatever I wanted to do. Somehow to my surprise because of that I actually did something that I've always wanted to do! Before, they got postponed due to probably I am a coward. Hehu. I guess when you have don't care (so much ) attitude you won't be stopped by negative thinking and driven to just do it! I am so gonna adopt this kind of attitude in my daily life after this. Heehee.

One of the example of my so emotional feeling was that lately I was so lazy to reply ppl's msg or involve in anything that required social interaction. My junior pm me twice but I never reply her because I just don't wanna chit-chatting (assuming she wanna chit-chatting with me). I felt so apprehensive of my current situation right now that I just want to hide in the closet and stayed there until it gets better.

However since I have this don't care so much attitude, I let myself to interact more with ppl and yeah getting connected with my best friends which is due to my friend's wedding. Yeahh first wedding in the house! Getting excited and I am one of the bridesmaids! (together with my ten other closest friends). So today me and my friend, Nor we went for baju kurung or fabric hunting. Let me tell ya seriously it was not easy at all.

The theme for the bridesmaid is purple. Soft purple. Before this I gave my friends one sample of a soft purple kaftan picture and because of that I guess our taste had been manipulated. We only looking for kaftan!
See below picture:

See this kaftan is so irresistible. Simple and gorgeous! (Pic credit to google)

We all want our pictures later to look very harmonious and lovely on her wedding so we definitely need to look for something that look gorgeous right? And of course to make the bride stand out. Haha. Our dream is to look like this more or less

Later want to take picture like this hee (Pic credit to google)

In the above picture the designs of all the bridesmaids' dresses look very lovely. I guess they use the same material. Envy envy. Heehee.

As for us we need to find our own fabric or buy a ready made baju kurung. Its difficult! Because there were a lot of choices and we really scared if we were out of the theme. So to be safe and to avoid more sore leg and headache, we just looked for soft purple fabric and yes! We manage to get them on our first hunting!

Fabric for Nor's baju kurung moden

For my upper half of baju kurung moden

Fabric for my bottom half of baju kurung moden

Can't wait to see how the baju kurung moden turns out because yeah we took about 4 hours to choose which one suits our liking. They definitely.must.need. be pretty.

At the end of the day since we both feel so satisfy with our purchase, time to go for lunch! We were having late lunch at Secret Recipe and Nor treat me. Wehooo! Thank you so much Nor!

Happy face. Btw I'm 25. Seriously I am quarter of a century. Duh. Can't believe it.

With so sweet Nor who treat me for lunch hehee

We ate our favorite noodle with tomyam kung, drank my favourite ice lemon tea and for her jasmine green tea and as the appetizer we chose New York cheese cake. Ahh the taste when the cake melting in my mouth. Sedap sangat! I didn't take the picture of the noodles. We were so hungry and couldn't wait to eat.

Overall I have a great day today. I am so grateful to Allah for giving me this happiness. Alhamdulillah.

Till then. Assalamualaikum.

Engagement (cousin) :p

>>  31 December 2011

I'm so proud of being a Malay because during engagement and wedding we will follow the culture and tradition that our ancestors had set up for us hundred of years ago. Our culture and tradition even sometimes doesn't make sense but since it is the language or you can say identity of each state (e.g in Malaysia), we as the youngster should follow the culture and tradition so that it can be preserved and maintain as our identity as a Malay. However, I believe in this modern and fast pace world, sometimes modification need to be made (but not until all the values gone).

All girls out there please don't get engaged on your own! Don't you know if you do the proper engagement, you will get two rings? One for the merisik and one for the engagement. Remember that. Heehee.

Yesterday I went for my cousin's engagement. She opted for a pink color theme. I believe many girls out there really like that color. Me also like that and to tell the truth I'm not a fan of that color before but as I grow older I kinda like it. Perhaps because the color is so wonderful and can make a girl looks really beautiful.

see she looks really lovely

All the hantaran (gifts) for the gentleman
From back and clockwise - towel, extra VIP bag, fruits, chocolate, sirih junjung, cookies and cake

All the hantaran for engagement should be as simple as this and doesn't cost much because it should not be a burden to both sides and also to make it more special for the wedding later.

The hantaran from both the lady and the gentleman

Both family looks very enthusiast to arrange them in one line like this. I thought the cameraman should be the one who request it. LOL

This is sirih junjung and it cost RM120

My mom said if we use a tepak sirih, it will be much cheaper because the tepak is rented and all the ingredients (?) in it can be obtained easily and with low cost. So yes we can save a lot and still follow our tradition. However whether to use tepak sirih or sirih junjung, its depend on your state. Like Perak, we use tepak sirih. Btw, this sirih junjung is from the gentleman side. Heehee.

Like the cookies above? you can buy those in Kuala Kangsar, Perak

Chocolates engraved with yours and your loved one names

Even proper engagement like this sounds good but if you are out of your budget, just go with the simpler one. Means you don't need to do the hantaran, the engagement garment, the pelamin and the tent. Just when the family come, discuss about the wedding and serve them the meal. Simple but meaningful.

Till then. Assalamualaikum.

The blog

>>  30 December 2011

Been spending my day today to update this blog's template. I know probably because Im still new thats why Im so excited. Trust me I'm not the kind of ppl who get excited very easily. But ppl who get excited easily is actually lucky because they feel grateful in their life and so fun to be with. What happen if you go out with your friend to see a movie and then they just give this bleeghhh comment or sleeping in the cinema. What kind of memory will you have. Haha.

Back to my blog. I want to edit my blog so that it would be just 2 columns but Im not that good with programming (programming? dont be so overrated pls). It takes time to edit the HTML code there and I kinda scared what if my previous template with the edited CSS missing? (I know I should download it first). But I tried it before and its still missing or worse it become sewel. Erh. Anyhow, I should ask help from him. Haha.

Btw, I need to stay away from my laptop for a while now because I couldn't stop doing something to this blog and I'm not sitting on a chair with my leg crossed. No. I'm sitting on my bed for about 5 hrs now with my body bend a bit. Duhh. That's definitely not good for my spine. Lets go eat.

Till then. Assalamualaikum.
