Kursus Kahwin & Solemnization Outfit

On to the wedding. So far, I believe my wedding preparation is going smoothly. Well, I just past through the 1st week only. lol

I finished my kursus kahwin last week. I had it in Astana Mukmin Wangsa Maju. It was seriously fun! Love it to bits. The facilitators were so hilarious. Everyone had their own personality, one can act, one can make a very cool joke, one keep asking question to one participant and one speaks so fast. Haha.

I personally recommend this place. Just go to Astana Mukmin's facebook here, call the number to book your seat and the organizer will help you from there. I just need to pay RM80 on that day and the fee includes 2 tea breaks, 1 lunch and 1 morning break. Lunch food was so yummy. I had udang sambal, chicken, some veggies and egg. Hee. 

Okey hungry now. 5 minutes break.

Continue on, before going to the kursus kahwin, I went to buy fabric for the solemnization outfit at Jakel and it took 20 minutes for us to select and buy them. Me and my fiance's solemnization outfit material. Sooo freakin fast! Well of course I knew before hand what type of fabric I want. I did some research from the net and I found one. I fell in love with the fabric worn by Mrs Nini Mohd here. I thought it was chiffon silk but it wasn't. It was actually georgette. 

For a lot of love towards the material, as soon I arrived at Jakel, I straight away went to the 1st floor, chose the off white color, asked how many meter needed for the design I want, cut it and bought it. It was RM25/meter. Stated there was RM29 but I knew I can get it at RM25/meter. So no bargain there. 

Then time for groom's outfit. I didn't know what type of material we bought. It was RM22/meter. The fabric is nice but the color is a bit different than mine. Mine is off-white and his's is white. Actually I was panic a bit. Just realize it after the SA cut it. But didn't want to appear panic in front of him, so I kept it deep inside my heart. And of course with the hope he does not read this blog!

I really don't want to sweat over a small detail. (T_T)

I just hope we will look match on that day. 

Okay now on to the design I love. I will send my fabric to tailor tomorrow. (^_^)

wedding carnival & wedding budget etc.

Went to Karnival Pengantin Perak in Marina Island last weekend with the hope I can ask them a lot of question and quotation. Came around 530pm and my goodness the MC volume was so high I couldn't even ask the wedding planner. I just took a lot of pamplet. Unfortunately the pamplet just show what service they offer and not the quotation. Since I'm in budget planning now, I really need the quotation. I want to have the best price with the best service. Haha. Dreaming much?

This is the only quotation I managed to capture. Others I was distracted with the MC's volume and forget to capture it. Yeah blame the MC.

With limited knowledge and small survey I did, a typical wedding will cost around RM17000 more or less. Am I ready? Of course no! A lot of budget planning need to be done and the crucial part is to ensure we are stick to the budget. First of all definitely need to ensure the budget is reasonable. Not too low and too high. If not, we have the tendency to not following it.

I really want a wedding dress worn by me only. Means no renting. I find it so weird to actually wear a rent dress for your wedding. I don't mind if it is simple as long as its yours and nobody else wearing it. I really really hope I will not be tempted to rent my wedding dress. 

On the other side note, what do you think of the normal photoshoot after the reception? The one that you can actually pose like a model with your husband? I dislike it. I've seen many bride and groom  looking tired in the pictures. Really tired. You suppose to look happy in your wedding picture and not tired or having oily faces. I personally love the pictures when the bride and groom are surrounded with their loved one, family and friends making a lot of stupid pose. If you want to capture your beautiful moment with your husband, you can always capture it at your beautifully decorated dais. Make use of your expensive dais okay? lol.

wedding panic. vendors. attire.

lol. Should I be panic if I unable to book wedding vendor that I like due to late booking? I plan to get married by December 2012 but its freaking me out when I know ppl already start booking for November and December. For wedding in hall I understand but for wedding vendor? Oh my goodness. For now I just feel I wanna sctrach out the engagement and start preparing for wedding instead.

There is one wedding vendor which I really like the decoration. So I started asking about the package and he replied thank goodness. For reception dress bride and groom, handbouquet, makeup 2x, dais, walkway, red carpet and main table decoration cost RM2500 which I think quite reasonable since he has a very beautiful decoration of the dais and the walkway. But when it comes down to the attire, the design is quite beautiful but seriously the size of the dresses are way too big. Especially in the arm. Its like the fitting is all over the place and to make it worst, I never see he uploaded brides with his dresses.

Before this, I asked one wedding vendor how about if I just want to rent their dresses. The dress I asked was gorgeous but not like it was sooo gorgeous. And you know the price? For rent is RM1200! Seriously what the.. Rent is RM1200? Might as well I just buy my own fabric and send to designer. At least the dress will be mine at the end.

Everything is money. If you have a lot of money, of course you can have your dream wedding. I did ask canopy vendor how much does it cost to have 5 canopies (1 is bridal canopy) and the cost is RM1760. Seriously out of my budget. I guess need to cut to 4 canopies only. Sigh. But it's okay its not like the guests will come in one time. The most important thing is to have all chairs with covers and ribbons. Hee. By the way,  the one that makes the price that high is the bridal canopy. 1 bridal canopy is RM650. (-_-)
